Gran Reserva was a Spanish television series produced by Bambú Producciones for La 1 and released on April 15, 2010.2
It is set in the countryside of La Rioja and focuses on the world of wine as a business and family dedication of two clans traditionally faced.3
The second season of the series was broadcast between March 24 and June 23, 2011 and the third between January 7, 2013 and April 8, 2013. As of April 15, 2013, the payment Of the Cortázar, three special chapters that continue the third season.
TVE did not clarify at any time if the series would record a fourth season despite that the quota of screen of the third season exceeded in more of two points the average of the television chain. Instead, it was decided to create the prequel Gran Reserva: El origen, a weekly telenovela type that would focus on explaining the life of the two winemakers families (Cortázar and Reverte) in the 60s until revealing the reason for the confrontation between both.
